# Publish a game, upload files, or register a URL

Publish and share a PlayDrop Cloud game, or bring an existing web game through browser upload and external URL registration.

## Publish your Cloud game

Light, Medium, High and Max tasks publish automatically when finished; Ultra uses Publish. New games use your account’s Auto publish setting: Public (default), Unlisted or Private. Updates keep the game’s visibility. Choose Auto publish in Studio on the web before starting a new game. Public games can be found on PlayDrop, Unlisted games need the link, and Private games are only for you. Change a game’s visibility in Studio. Before sharing a Cloud game, check its controls, complete a round and review the title, description, genre and images.

## Update carefully

Return to the existing game’s Studio conversation so your change belongs to the same project. Describe what to change and what to preserve. Play the resulting version, including controls and restart, before sharing the update. Confirm the public page shows the intended version; a new creation task is not needed to update an existing game.

## Upload an existing web game

Open [Import](https://www.playdrop.ai/create/import) and choose files. The web flow supports a web-game folder, ZIP, or HTML file. Include the files the game needs to run. Follow the importer to choose a new game or an existing game to update, review the details, and complete its launch check and final review.

If a required file is missing or the game does not start, correct the export and try again. Uploading source from a development project is not the same as uploading a playable web export.

## Register an externally hosted game

On [Import](https://www.playdrop.ai/create/import), choose the website option and enter the game's HTTPS URL. Confirm that you own the website or have permission to register it. Review the listing and follow the checks shown in the web flow.

The game remains hosted at that URL. Keep it reachable and test it on the devices you advertise. Registering a URL does not transfer its files into a Cloud-generated game.

## Languages and expectations

The PlayDrop interface, listing text, and in-game text can have different language coverage. A translated listing does not automatically translate gameplay. Only present translations and device support that are actually available.

## PlayDrop Connector: publish AI games from your favorite agent

Ask your agent: “Read the PlayDrop publishing requirements, publish this game to my PlayDrop account, and give me its link.” The agent sends the game, its [catalogue.json metadata](https://www.playdrop.ai/create/learn/catalogue-json) and optional listing images and videos. Single-game uploads publish automatically: new games use your visibility setting (Public by default), and updates keep the game’s visibility. Explicitly ask for a private upload to test before publishing. A public game can be shared by its link and appears on your profile. To update, ask the same agent to use the existing game ID and preserve its slug.

The connector accepts `index.html` up to 5 MiB, a catalogue up to 256 KiB, an optional Colyseus `server.js` and listing media. It can list Cloud games but cannot edit them in Studio. Games integrate the [client SDK](https://www.playdrop.ai/create/learn/sdk) host contract; the [server SDK](https://www.playdrop.ai/create/learn/server-sdk) is optional.
