Reactor Keeper: Don't Go BOOM
@austinaibedellYou run the power plant. The city needs electricity, and you are the one who makes it. Just make sure the reactor does not go BOOM!
How to play
- Pick your power grid: calm Farm Town (easy), classic Big City (normal) or hungry Mega Metro (hard, more points).
- Pull the control rods out to make more power. Push them in to cool things down.
- Keep your power output in the green zone to earn points and keep the city happy.
- More power means more heat. Turn on coolant pumps, VENT steam pressure and hit SCRAM in an emergency.
- Pumps break and rods slip. Click a broken pump 5 times to fix it fast!
- Run your power makers too: the water wheel jams with logs (click to clear), the wind turbine breaks in storms unless you click to brake it, and the solar farm gets dusty (click to clean).
- Watch out for earthquakes, coolant leaks and heat waves.
- From shift 2, new power lines carry your power to the city. Wires snap (trees, squirrels, lightning) and overheat if you make way too much power. Click a line (keys 7-9) to fix it. Shift 3 adds a third line.
- If the plant goes BOOM, you are the worker. Run for dear life! Mash RUN (→/D) and JUMP (Space/↑) over junk to reach the safe bunker before the blast catches you.
- Survive each 90-second shift. Every shift gets harder.
- Or just press the big ¡BOOM! button twice. We won't judge. Watch a worker stare at the mushroom cloud before the city comes down.
Too hot or too much pressure and the plant explodes. Too little power and the city goes dark.
