Hero Rise: Thanos Siege

Rookie Marvel heroes defend a sun-soaked, Vice City-style Leonida coast from Thanos across a colorful open-world city with real-looking oak, pine, cherry-blossom and maple trees, parks, rooftops, a beach, a pier and forest outskirts to explore.

How to play

• Pick a hero: Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man or Hulk.
• Hulk punches, uses Hulk Smash (F), Thunderclap (V) and Gamma Rage (Z), and presses E to grab a nearby villain, tree, car or chunk of street, then clicks to throw it.
• WASD to move, mouse to look (click to lock the mouse), click to attack, Space to jump (press again in the air to double jump).
• Spider-Man holds R to web-swing between buildings; let go to fling through the air.
• Spider-Man presses X for Stealth: he fades to a shimmer for 8 seconds, gangsters lose track of him, and his first web shot deals triple damage.
• Iron Man suits up at the start. Press G to fly with momentum, banking and sonic booms (look up and hold W to climb, Ctrl to dive, hold Shift to boost) and T to rebuild the nano-suit piece by piece.
• Captain America throws his vibranium shield, which ricochets through villains and flies back to his hand. Hold right-click (or B) to raise the shield and block, deflecting bullets and shrugging off most damage.
• F is your signature power: Web Storm, Shield Ricochet or Unibeam.
• V is your ultimate: Web Cocoon, Star-Spangled Shockwave or Missile Barrage.
• Z is your hyper power: Spider-Sense Overdrive, Vibranium Shield Storm or Stark Orbital Strike.
• E interacts: some defeated villains drop their blasters, bats and rocket launchers. Walk over one and press E to use it.
• Q is an Instant Kill (6s recharge). C or right-click is a Power Slam (Captain America uses right-click to block, so his slam is on C). Hold Shift to sprint (watch the sprint meter); a quick tap of Shift dashes.
• Some evil gangsters carry rocket launchers. Their rockets set buildings on fire; fires grow, spread to nearby buildings and fill the sky with thick smoke and fog. Don't stand next to a burning building. People get trapped at burning buildings: run up to them (or press E nearby) to save them for coins and XP before the fire takes them. A minimap shows fires and trapped people.
• Clear 10 waves of gangsters to face the final boss, Thanos. He blasts towers into flames, fills the sky with thick smoke and fog, and opens portals full of villains. Defeat him before the City Destroyed meter hits 100%, or the heroes lose. Every win ends with a different victory line.
• Pick an ability card every 20 seconds, finish street challenges and buy upgrades (U), including the Villain Radar, which marks every bad guy and Thanos on your map and above their heads.
