Dark World: Crowley Falls

You wake from the same nightmare every night: Rita on a collapsing bridge, a shadow with red eyes behind her, a kitchen knife between you. Wes Dawson is back in rain-soaked Crowley Falls, accused of her murder, and only his eleven-year-old sister Birdie believes him. You have seven days to find out whose hand was on the knife.

What you'll do

• Explore a hand-painted 1990s town by point-and-click: Main Street in the rain, Pryor's Diner, the carnival, the church, Rita's taped-off house and more.
• Question a town that has already convicted you. Show people what is in your pockets, and hear every line spoken aloud.
• Talk with Birdie every day. She remembers what you tell her, she never repeats herself, and her trust changes what she will risk for you.
• Slip into the wrong Crowley Falls: the same streets under a blood-red moon, where familiar faces speak with the wrong voices.
• Step through the Black Aperture into the deep Dark World, an optional nightmare civilisation inside Wes's mind: eight regions, Keepers, Ironbound guards, Ascendant machines, companions, and Rita's questline. Choose Restoration, Dominion or Destruction, and leave whenever you like.
• Work four suspect files plus Jack's separate case with reporter Marcy Vale, whose trust grows with every honest answer.
• Face Jack on Main Street. Shield your companions, stall for the sheriff, risk a lethal struggle, or trust Birdie's signal at 100% affinity.
• Reach one of many branching endings, each with full-screen artwork, from a quiet confession to a wedding.
