Trenchfire WW1

Go over the top in this solo desktop WW1 first-person shooter: each level is won by crossing no-man's-land and reaching the enemy bunker on the far side of the trench.

How to play

• From the menu pick Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 (Boss), or start Campaign (Levels 1–3) / Practice Assault (90s).
• Choose loadout: primary (M1 Garand, Springfield M1903, Thompson M1A1, M1897 Trench Gun, M3 Grease Gun, plus Enfield/MP 18), sidearm, slot 3 (BAR, Lewis, M1918 Trench Knife, Bayonet, Club), equipment, then DEPLOY. Slot 4 is the Mk 2 Pineapple grenade.
• WASD move · Space jump · C crouch · Shift sprint · sprint+C slide.
• Left click fires; hold right click to scope. Hotkeys 1–4 switch weapons. R reloads.
• Push forward: the HUD counts the metres to the bunker. Enter the gold ring at the bunker to take it and move to the next level.
• Enemy riflemen walk with a marching stride and kick back with recoil and a muzzle flash when they shoot. Melee chargers (brown coats) sprint at you and chop with bayonet and club at close range; more of them join each level. Level 3 adds the armored golem juggernaut.
