This PlayDrop License applies to a specific version or revision of content on PlayDrop when the creator selects the PLAYDROP license for that content.

This license is a permission grant from the creator who published that content to other people who access or use it through PlayDrop. It does not reduce the creator's ownership of their own work.

1) What this license covers

This license covers the version or revision of a game, app, asset, pack, source bundle, or other content that a creator publishes on PlayDrop with the PLAYDROP license label.

This license is version-scoped. A different version or revision of the same content may have different terms.

If the creator offers the same content somewhere else under a different license, that other license applies only where the creator offered it.

2) Ownership

The creator keeps ownership of their content.

This license defines what other people may do with that content through PlayDrop. It does not limit what the creator may do with their own work.

Except for the permissions expressly granted below, all rights are reserved by the creator and any other applicable rights holders.

3) Permission grant

Subject to this license, the PlayDrop Terms of Service, and PlayDrop platform rules, you may:

  • access and use the licensed content through PlayDrop;
  • where PlayDrop makes the relevant download, source, remix, or reuse surface available to you, download and copy the licensed content through PlayDrop for use on PlayDrop;
  • use the licensed content as a dependency or component in other content you build and publish on PlayDrop;
  • modify, adapt, remix, combine, and build on the licensed content on PlayDrop; and
  • publish derivative works on PlayDrop, including derivative works you choose to publish on PlayDrop as CLOSED or PLAYDROP.

These permissions apply only on PlayDrop.

4) Restrictions

This license does not give you the right to use the licensed content outside PlayDrop.

Unless the creator separately permits it, you may not:

  • distribute, host, sell, sublicense, or otherwise reuse the licensed content outside PlayDrop;
  • present the licensed content as your own original work without attribution;
  • remove, hide, or falsify authorship, credits, or lineage information; or
  • imply that the original creator or PlayDrop endorses you, your content, or your use.

If you create a derivative work that includes licensed content, this license does not give you permission to grant off-PlayDrop rights in the licensed content itself.

5) Attribution and lineage

If you use, adapt, remix, or build on licensed content, you must provide reasonable attribution to the original creator.

Attribution must be provided through the attribution, credits, lineage, remix, relationship, or similar mechanisms that PlayDrop supports from time to time, or by another reasonable method that PlayDrop designates.

You may not remove, hide, or falsify information about origin, authorship, or lineage.

6) No trademark or identity rights

This license does not grant rights to:

  • names, usernames, or handles;
  • trademarks, logos, or branding;
  • likeness, persona, or publicity rights; or
  • any rights in third-party content that the creator was not authorized to license.

7) Relationship to PlayDrop Terms and platform rules

Your use of licensed content remains subject to the PlayDrop Terms of Service, moderation rules, safety rules, payment rules, and other platform policies.

PlayDrop may remove content, restrict access, or take enforcement action if needed to enforce its Terms, platform rules, legal obligations, or rights-holder requests.

Platform rules may still prohibit blatant copies, spam clones, impersonation, or other misleading uses even when this license otherwise permits on-PlayDrop reuse.

This license does not require PlayDrop to keep any content available, downloadable, remixable, or published.

8) No warranties

Licensed content may be incomplete, inaccurate, broken, insecure, unavailable, or unsuitable for your needs.

To the extent permitted by law, licensed content is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.

The PlayDrop Terms of Service also contain important disclaimers and liability limits that apply to use of the Service and licensed content.

9) End of permission

To the extent permitted by law, your permission to use content under this license ends if:

  • you violate this license;
  • you violate the PlayDrop Terms or platform rules in a way that affects your right to use the content; or
  • PlayDrop removes or disables the licensed content because of a legal claim, rights dispute, or policy enforcement action.

If the creator removes or unpublishes the licensed content from PlayDrop without a legal claim, rights dispute, or policy enforcement action, that removal does not by itself invalidate derivative works or other uses that were already validly created on PlayDrop before the removal. It may still stop new access, downloads, remixing, or new uses of the removed content through PlayDrop.

Ending your permission under this license does not erase derivative works or other uses that were already validly created on PlayDrop before the permission ended, except to the extent required by law, rights-holder action, or platform enforcement.

10) Separate permissions

The creator may give you separate permissions outside this license.

Any broader permission must come from the creator or another rights holder, not from PlayDrop merely hosting or labeling the content.

11) Future changes

PlayDrop may update this license from time to time. Changes will apply prospectively as described in the then-current legal documents and product experience.
