Robot Car Wars

Pick a side, Autobots or Decepticons, and roam a huge open world as one of 57 robots in disguise.

Age of Extinction

• Allies: walk up to Sam Witwicky Cade Yeager at his farm and N.E.S.T. at the military base and press R. They ride inside you while you drive and fight beside you on foot.
• Hands: every bot has working hands. Punch, or grab a car and throw it.
• Scan bots too: hold E next to a Decepticon or Autobot to copy their vehicle form.
• Cemetery Wind: black SUVs full of rogue CIA black-ops operatives hunt you down.
• Lockdown: the Optimus-sized, green-eyed bounty hunter is no longer a Decepticon. He drops from his Knight Ship to hunt every Transformer.
• Knight form: Optimus drives a 1992 Peterbilt 379. Scan the Western Star 5700XE Phantom at Cade's farm to become a Knight of Cybertron, then press K to fly to space.
• Cybertron: defeat Quintessa. Sentinel Prime fights beside you, but he can betray you at any moment.

The world

Towers, suburbs and the interstate ring now sit in the middle of a much bigger map. Head east to Cybertron International Airport, west to the N.E.S.T. military base, or north and south across the plains and farm country.

• Airport: a runway, terminal, control tower and hangars, with planes taxiing and parked at the gates. Walk up to the Airbus A380, Boeing 737 or Gulfstream G700 and press F to see inside: the A380's 3-4-3 economy main deck and business-class upper deck, the 737's 3-3 single aisle, and the G700's club chairs, dining table, galley, master bedroom and shower.
• Military base: a fenced base with tanks in the motor pool and on patrol, fighter jets, hangars, barracks and a helipad.

Rank, squad and orders

The bot you pick decides your rank, from Recruit up to Supreme Leader. Your superior radios orders (Optimus Prime or Megatron; leaders hear from Alpha Trion or The Fallen). Complete orders to get promoted. Fellow Autobots or Decepticons from your side roll with you as a squad and fight beside you. Sergeants and above can order them to hold or follow with G.

How to play

• Transform with T.
• Mobile: on phones and tablets, use the on-screen joystick and buttons (fire, transform, scan, recruit, weapon, space, ship, map, pause). Landscape recommended.

The Last Knight update

• Moon: press K (Knight, Megatron or Lockdown), fly left to the Moon, find the crashed ship and press R by Sentinel Prime to wake him.
• Megatron: gladiator plate armor, tusked battle visor, hooked broadsword, built-in Fusion Cannon shield and a windowless stealth jet. He allies with Quintessa on Cybertron.
• Lockdown: playable from either roster, much tougher and stronger. Press B near his Knight Ship to go inside. Cemetery Wind fights beside him.
• Shoot while driving, with pop-out guns, and smoother transform and scan-swap animations.
• Planes now climb above the Knight Ship.
