About Rooftop Shrine Maidens
Red Reimu and Blue Reimu fight side by side! Jump between platforms on a single fixed screen and stun kedama, fairies and rock monsters with ofuda talismans.
Tap to throw talismans. Hold to spin the gohei into an exorcism vortex that sucks stunned yokai behind you (up to 5). Release to fire them all as a giant yin-yang orb that rampages along the platforms: the more you swallow, the bigger the orb, the higher the combo score and the better the drops.
Both maidens are always on the field. Tag Team swings a wide slash, hops back and lets her sister dash in with a fan of talismans. The partner automatically fires homing ofuda. Charge Red-Blue Gravity: one maiden plants herself and spins the gohei to drag every enemy and bullet to one spot while the other leaps in and unleashes the Fantasy Seal to blast the whole pile.
Twelve fixed-screen stages (stage 4 has green kappa that slide at you as soon as they spot you), a Giant Stone Golem that bursts from the ground on stage 5, three village stages as the maidens leave the forest, and on stage 9 a married Marisa who drops from the sky and fires star bullets.
New in 7.0: a platform layout editor, Twin Cross as a yin-yang orb volley with a 14 s cooldown, and a tougher Stone Golem with stone hands and mini golems.
New in 4.0: ladders are gone and platforms can be jumped onto; hold jump in the air to fly freely for up to 15 s (refills on landing). Backdrops travel from open sky and meadow into the forest; the inhale is a little weaker and only blocks bullets from the front; Blue Reimu's ofuda range is shorter; the Demon-Sealing Array now bursts from the caster's own body as a column of light to the top and bottom of the screen (red for Red Reimu, blue for Blue Reimu) - control swaps at once and she keeps casting for 5 s; new Relay boost and Red-Blue Resonance; a more detailed Marisa with new dialogue; enemies have double the toughness; and a rewritten ending that fades to black with "To Be Continued".
8.0: Twelve stages including Rest Village, Moonlit Canal and Gate of Two Seals. Village lanterns fire three short-range shots; cat yokai pounce; wind shutters, springs and timed seals vary combat. Wave-three terrain swaps; charges carry between stages. Twin Cross volleys four parallel orbs that converge in a small blast; Gravity clears bullets immediately. Editable 0.7-second enemy shot interval. Marisa has double HP again and moving beams four times as wide. Rock monsters throw short arcing stones from stage 4. Editors now support draggable enemy spawns, wave-three platforms/currents, dialogue and downloadable/uploadable Reimu walking sheets.
