Wolfsbane

Bitten by a werewolf, you have seven nights until the blood moon. Decide who you were before it happened and choose the one person you are holding on to, then walk a valley of eight places to gather wolfsbane, blessed silver and moon-touched water. No choice is labelled; the kind option and the hungry one look exactly alike until afterward, and every appetite you feed quietly loosens your grip on the human you love. Tend that bond and it holds; neglect it and their voice fades from a candle in the window to a face you can no longer picture — and the ending answers for how you kept it. Fail, and the change takes you in full, then you wake human at dawn with fourteen days before the next full moon, hunting the harder cure while the sire who made you pulls on the same rope. Let his hold fill completely and there is no cure left to chase: he wills a second change out of you and you wake a third time in his cave, one of the pack — where the only road back is a single human ember, guarded across the den's nights and carried out through the cave-mouth before the pack-moon closes over it for good.
