Springtown Rampage

Roam Springfield in third person as Homer. Hop in his pink sedan, kick crates and vending machines for coins, buy new rides at Gil's car lot and run errands for Marge, Bart, Lisa, Barney, Ned and Cletus — starting with racing Principal Skinner to school with Lisa's science project.

How to play

• WASD to walk, Shift to run, Space to jump (press again in the air to double jump), mouse (or drag / arrow keys) to look around.
• F to kick — smash crates and vending machines for coins, or knock over trash cans, mailboxes, hydrants and street lights (that's a crime!).
• Press E next to a car to hop in (carjacking traffic is a crime), next to a green-marked character to start a mission, to talk to Old Gil ($ icon) at his car lot and buy cars in his showroom, at a phone booth to call any car you own, or at a glowing door to go inside the Simpsons' house, the Kwik-E-Mart or Springfield Elementary.
• Drive with WASD, Space for the handbrake to drift. Crash too hard and your car smokes, turns black — then explodes. Find glowing yellow wrenches hidden in the shortcut alleys to repair it.

Hit & Run meter

The ring around the minimap fills when you smash things with your car, crash into traffic or run over pedestrians. When it fills up the police chase begins. Stay away from the cops to drain it, or get BUSTED and pay a $50 fine.

Around town

• Crates and vending machines are hidden in backyards, behind landmarks and across the river — go exploring.
• Shortcut alleys cut through the neighbourhoods. The Springfield River runs along the east edge: cross it on the bridge, and if you fall in you'll be back on the bridge.
