Hold out on a huge overrun alien colony as endless rounds of infected aliens hunt you down. Built on the Neon Core Arena shooter: same movement, weapons, gear, armory and destructible buildings.

Infestation

• One mode, endless rounds: every round spawns a new wave of infected. Each round brings more of them, with more health, more speed and harder bites.
• They crawl in: infected crawl out through building doorways and claw their way up from glowing burrows around the colony edge. Watch every entrance.
• Brutes: from round 3, hulking infected brutes join the swarm. They soak up damage and hit hard.
• Hear them coming: every infected growls, chitters and shrieks from where it is. Sounds get quieter, duller and pan left or right with distance, so you can tell where the swarm is.
• Gore: shots spray glowing alien ichor and kills burst into blood that splatters floors and walls.
• Nowhere is safe: infected climb walls to reach rooftops and tear through cover that blocks their path.
• Clear a round to refill your health and earn bonus coins. When you go down, the run ends and your best round is saved.

The Infested Colony

One very large map with eight multi-storey colony buildings around a central plaza, cargo containers, barricades, neon outposts, rock outcrops, glowing alien fungus and crystal foliage, ziplines and jump pads.

Wall-buy weapons

Every run starts with the P-12 pistol and 500 coins. Hologram guns float on about 25 random walls, each gun in two to four places. Get within about 18 metres to see its light beam and minimap marker, then stand on its floor ring and press E (or tap the hand button) to buy.

Prices climb with damage per shot: Helix Beam 550, ARC-7 SMG 700, Pulse Rifle 950, Ion Hand Cannon 1550, Longshot Rail 2100, Havoc Launcher 3100, Nova Scattergun 4100 (8 pellets per blast) and the Energy Sword 5000. A cheap P-12 pistol wall (300) sells pistol ammo. Coins reset every game.

• Ammo runs out: guns come with four spare magazines. Then buy a refill (half the gun's price) at that gun's wall. The sword needs no ammo.
• Two weapon slots: carry two and swap with X, 1 / 2, mouse wheel or the touch swap button. A third gun replaces the one in your hands.
• Sword sounds: the Energy Sword whooshes on swings and cracks on hits.
