A first-person horror escape through a sixteen-room house at 3:14 AM. Mara wakes with Eli asleep beside her and a masked man walking their rooms. Her phone is locked and the four-digit PIN — like every code in the house — is different every night, written on a note taped to the bedroom mirror. Unlock it and sixteen security cameras show you which room he is standing in. Twenty-two hiding places to fold yourself into, and Backspace gets you back out the second you want — while you are hidden the game listens to your real microphone, so if you make a sound he hears it. Six weapons and no two alike: a glass shard for one damage at arm's length, a rock for two, a knife for three, a bat for four across nearly three metres, six shots of the revolver for six apiece — and a taser that barely scratches him and puts him on the floor for ten full seconds. There is a phone charger in every room. Bolt any door with the skeleton key and he needs exactly one minute to come through it. Wake Eli and text him from your phone — solo, an A.I. Eli reads what you type, texts back in his own voice, and actually does it: follow, hold, attack, hide, run for the door. Online, that same text goes to the friend walking him. And the house will not hold: a fire catches in the boiler room and eats it one room at a time, sealing rooms off behind you — step into the flames and you burn, and if the fire reaches the front door there is no way out. Or open one of five online lobbies and let a friend walk Eli themselves.
